It was nearing sunset when the stranger wandered into our yard. He was obviously foreign with his long yellow hair and blue eyes, his skin red as though he'd been several days in the sun. He showed us a picture.
"Has... uh... Han... ver... el hombre en este pictura?” he asked.
Mama shook her head; no, we hadn't seen him. The stranger hung his head sadly.
Mama offered him some water and a place to stay the night, but the sad stranger with the broken Spanish shook his head with an apologetic smile of non-comprehension and disapeared down the road.
