This only took *All Day*...
So, how many boxes exactly does it take to hold every book I own?
Apparently, 25. That's 23 Borders boxes full (we beg bookstores for our boxes because, quite frankly, they're designed to hold exactly as many books as the average nerd can carry and they're sturdy enough to take the weight), my boxed set of volumes 1-27 of the American release of Naruto, and volumes 1-7 of the Japanese Tokyo Babylon manga in their own little box. Yes, theoretically, I might have been able to rearrange some of the books in the other boxes to make room for the TB, but if I were planning to do that, I wouldn't have saved that shipping box through three other moves in the last... eight years? It's the perfect size! And... and... it's Tokyo Babylon! ::is biased::
So, add the four pet-store boxes packed over the last couple weekends (approximately equal to eight Borders boxes total) and all those binders atop the boxes of DVDs and music, and thus my entire library is ready to truck up to Maryland!
I'll be done with the rest of my packing in a half-day, easy. That was the hard part.
For obvious reasons, my beta reader and I are not currently reviewing any of the chapters of fic I have completed drafts for. Once we're moved, Chapter 8 of The Rules Saga won't be far behind.
