Periodic Kickstarter Share - GameMaster's Apprentice
Everybody wants awesome things to exist, right?
Mr. Rockwood's "GameMaster's Apprentice" story prompt deck (for story writing as well as game design) has already been funded at a basic level, so now he's going for stretch goals to unlock genre-specific decks. Next in line is the Steampunk setting, which I'm sure everyone can appreciate, and the creator said he'd consider my vote for an Age of Sail setting! If that one does get unlocked, I can assure you I'll make excellent use of it for the 15 Mokona stories.
Speaking as a veteran of using randomly generated prompts (and a veteran of trying to find *good sources* for randomly generated prompts), these decks look amazingly useful and well constructed. I very much look forward to my set. If you ever wanted a resource for those moments of writer's block when you think, "Crap, I have no idea what to put here. I wish I could just pull an idea/character/decision out of a hat!" this is designed explicitly for that purpose. Or if you just want to say, "I need to write something, somebody give me an idea!" but you don't have anybody available to ask, it works for that, too. Anyway, the Kickstarter can speak for itself. Just wanted to give everybody the option to check it out!
