Saturday evening heralded a new era of luck for me, creating intrigue for me where none had been present before! I had my feet on the ground like a smart gambler, if there even is such a thing...and wanted to try my luck with a scratch ticket.
Last summer I spent 10$ on scratch tickets as a test...all were failures and proved I should never buy tickets, as they are only for lamerz. I decided never to buy again. However, a crinkly dollar bill slept in my pocket, and needed to be spent somehow. I told Tyrone if I won, it would go to the basement...I wanted to make a contribution since he was buying the supplies for the night.
I didn't scratch the ticket until this morning, I saw it by my bed and quickly demystified it's particle structure. YES!! 2$! Double my profits BITCH!! (Bad words necessary in generating enthusiasm)
After renting Jade Empire and replacing Mike's blown-out truck tire (lol, I never knew a blunt rectangle could imbed itself into a tire....) I headed for martins to harass Baird at the movie store with demands 4 my cash (bitch!).
I decided to only play off my winnings and quit while I'm ahead, like a good gambler should. I bought a Cheese one and a Spring Fever and headed out to the car. Despues de scratching my cards off, I realized I won 4$ off the Spring Fever. HELL YES!
I headed back inside the store to harass Baird again. His squirrelish face, somewhat throbbing forehead and dilated eyes cast a gloom of jealously...one I had a difficult time shaking off I must say...then I remembered it was freakin Baird. I am honestly more afraid of a giant pool of maple syrup than that kid. Maybe if he had a metal bat...metal bats pwn all n00bs.
Right. After walking back into the store I saw Nick Paton and told him to come help me scratch cards. Spring fever was the clear choice here, I was going to buy 4, but Nick insisted I buy a ticket that involves de-pantsing a duck to reveal cash rewards. I am so glad I listened. My 3 fevers lost, but his duck card created 4 dollars. I had to buy again, but I decided to be frugal: keep 1$ and spend only 3$, that way I'd have lost nothing from this whole experience.
I grew some balls and bought a IPOD card for 2$, and 1 more spring fever. Nick revealed the fever, got my 1$ back. The IPOD card however won me 4$! I now had 6$ where I once had 1$. I felt like Jesus creating bread and fish from seemingly nothing...lol. Perhaps he didn't have the vice of gambling...however, is it really a vice if you win? Last 10$ I spent I played like an IDIOT, this time I did it right buying low.
I am nervous at the thought of ever tying this again, but man was that fun! I think I will just wait until someone really lucky is there before I spend again, or if I see a baby on the table. Night.
