My Day
Today was a great day. I stayed up all night taking IQ quizzes and reading...I wouldn't have been able to sleep if I wanted to, way too much on my mind. It was another beautiful day of spring break, and was as good a time as always to enjoy some beastly excercise. I headed to the gym but decided to take back route around mission creek...then my cd player batteries died. So, I ran back to my truck back at home and put some new ones in and changed CD's. Man I got this 48 pack of batteries for about $8 but they are the worst batteries in the world :) hehe. I talked to an interesting lady at the gym, told me all about her disneyland trip...made me want to go really bad. She was actually very boring to listen to though to be honest with you, I didn't mean to be rude but I completely tuned her out. I just imagined chilling at the food courts with the Genie from Aladdin like when I was 7. It probably looked like I was nodding my head to what she was saying since I was on that little air-walker machine that bounces up and down, I honestly don't understand how she could have kept talking that long without any affirmation. I was really zoned out from not sleeping and I could hear myself breathing out of my ears lol.
After she got to a stopping point I took the opportunity to head out for the olive street hills.
I went back around to Mission Creek again, but this time decided I should stop and pay my blessings to the new baby born to Erin's brother's wife. That was so amazing, I had never seen such a young baby...only 3 weeks old. I held it and touched its hand...her fingernails were the size of about 5 salt grains put together hehe. I forgot how heavy their head is to them, always have to keep it supported so they don't get hurt. I left after about 20 minutes, it was great to see Erin's family again and the new child.
After getting home I tried calling a friend to go to the river with me, but I ended up just going by myself. The water has receeded a lot since I had been there last. I studied some of the plants in the water and watched the honeybees cool off on the dark sand. I made a little raft out of some log bark and plant stem, floated a cool red rock off down the river. I noticed a few adventures appear in the area, and we skipped some rocks. Hit my record with 9 skips.
I stopped by Bryn's house around 1PM, everyone was crashed out on the couches with open mouths gasping for air in the dog hair infested basement. I grabbed a dew and went back to my place for a nap, as I was finally getting a little sleepy. I vanished to some Postal Service, and was shaken awake 3 hours later for dinner. Dinner was delicious, I never had such good spinach before...normally it is a little too bitter for me.
After dinner I watched some CSI Miami and headed up to Bryns for some Halo 2. I ended up just going on a walk with Beau, didn't get the chance to own any n00bs :(
Well, now it is 4 AM and alas I am still awake. I better get some rest...plenty of garden work to do tomorrow!
