Wired
So I've mostly recovered from moving the apartment last weekend. Moving in 94 degree heat is not fun, even if it's only 2 blocks. Furniture has been reasembled, rooms partially arranged and air conditioning used to the point that I'll probably flip when I see the electric bill. Oh yeah, after many phone calls the utillites have been transferred/set up/ installed etc. I know have comcast internet service, which I got up at 8am this morning to wait for the installation guy. It took an hour just to get a signal inside the apartment, then I ended up being more proficient with computers, so I spent about 45 minutes after that messing with the network properities to get the computer and the modem talking. Lots of fun. As a bonus though I'm getting what I'll assume is the basic cable service without ordering it. That will probably go away in the next week, but it's nice while it lasts. I miss watching poker.
I do refuse to move an apartment for at least a year again. Unless there's some nice compensation involved.
