Wow, we're almost the same age. I didn't know that. :)

I loved The Shining.

Hooray! My favorite book was It; my favorite movie is a toss-up between The Shining and Needful Things. :)

O, you have a DVD of IT? *drools* I actually don't own any of the movies, but I do have the majority of the books...from garage sales and as Christmas presents.

M-O-O-N! The Stand was good, but SOOOO long. I started watching with my friends (general horror fans, not Stephen King specifically), and they fell asleep after the first two tapes. I can't actually remember whether I did see the ending, now that I think about it.

Now you've got me going, you poor thing. Let this be a lesson to you. NEVER mention something Nadia's interested in. You'll never hear the end of it. Just ask Heather. She mentioned One Tree Hill and As The World Turns two months ago, and I haven't stopped talking since... ;)

Have you seen Carrie, Pet Sematary, Firestarter, or Christine?

come on FM....of course I've seen all those movies. :P

I'll tell you something about Pet Semetery. I couldn't sleep in the same room with my cat for a couple nights. Of course I put up a brave "aweee poor kitty" while my friends watched it with me but in reality I wouldn't want to be in the same room with the back from the dead cat.

My apologies, of course you have. :) Drew Barrymore was so precious in that movie, and in Cat's Eye as well.

No, I wouldn't either. Imagine the smell! :p What stuck with me the most from Pet Sematary II was Edward Furlong. He just looked like such a demonic child towards the end.

Stephen King once came to speak at my university when I was a sophomore. I was so angry that I had to work and miss his talk. Phooey. I would have loved an autograph. :(

Cat's Eye...now that brings back memories...
Another favorite can you tell. :D
I was so angry when they put the cat outside when all he was doing was protecting her. Anyway now I have to search to see if Cat's Eye is out on DVD too! Thanks for the reminder FM.

You missed his talk!!! Noway!!!
Occasions like that call for a sick day in my book. ;)

Yeah, wish I could have. But we were working in a juvenile detention facility at the time, as mentors for the inmates. Wouldn't have looked very mentor-like for me to skip out on a visit. :( Oh, well. I'm still hoping there will be other opportunities to meet him in the future.

I know what you mean. I loved the little evil breath-stealing troll thing in that movie. :)
