I think I wasn't as depressed to come back to work after a three day weekend as I should have been.
The new dog mixed with the previous dog makes for one very very tired Heath. The adjustment period was much harder than i thought it would be. Its a little funny, since I juggled so much on getting another dog, because I didn't know if I had it in me. I do this alot. I make a decision which turns out to be really really alot harder than I figured. Even though I always agonize over the decision forever before I even go through with it.
He's really cute though. There were just a few more obstacles than I had planned on, but I'm sure in a couple of weeks things will smooth out alot. The funniest parts are the jealousy issues and getting them to sleep in their doggy beds at night.
The next obstacles after the domestic stuff is for PD to win over my Mom and Baby brother at her house, and then for him to win over my Dad and Stepmom and their dog, Cleo. My mom's family are a little stuck up, and they see me bringing another dog when I visit as an inconveinence to them. My Dad and Stepmom and really, their dog Cleo are the most important because this is who I hope to entice to keep both dogs when I go on vacation. And I plan to take a cruise in the spring, and then a beach trip in early fall. They always keep KC... but two dogs might seem daunting to them with their own dog.
Here's hoping there isn't alot of mess to clean up when I get home today.
