I love my kid

Ok so I meant to write this wendsday but I'm only remembering now... thank you pencil... all will be clear.

My daughter first of all has a learning disability... and as a result when she is having a problem learning something she often gets very VERY frustrated... just so you all understand that going in.

So my daughter comes over wendsday, just like every wendsday. And like every wendsday she has some homework to work on... todays project is sentences in cursive... I can't help with this... I'd like to but I can't write in cursive to save my life! Anyway this begins a debate with my mom...

Mom: This is an important skill...
Me: No it's not... kid after you get out of school the only thing you have to be able to write in cursive is your name.
Mom: That's not true *glares at me*
Me: Yes it is *gives apologetic look back* it's not the end of the world if you can't write in cursive kid (no I don't call my daughter kid but I'm not putting her name out over the internet either ya pervs)
Mom: *exasperated* Very! important! Skill! *walks out*
Me: *quietly* really not dont sweat it to hard.

Then my mom takes off and I am watchin tv in my room so the kid can work in quiet when after about 15 minutes I hear a taping sound and sobs. I run out and there is my kid tapping her pencil tip into oblivion on the page and crying, she looks up at me and shoves the paper so it floats to the ground off her working desk. This aparently was NOT the reaction she wanted so she shoves the book off too, which promptly makes the nice THUD she was lookin for.

Whats a parent to do? I grinned and then started laughing... cause she did EXACTLY what I would have done in her situation... she looks at me and the tears dry up as she too starts laughing.

Me: ok take a break then. *laughs*
Kid: *giggles*

Now it's fifteen minutes later and I am again watching tv in my room when the kid comes in and very matter of factly places her pencil, in three pieces, on my puter desk, looks at me and walks out.

I laughed so hard I almost fell outta bed!

I love my kid!
