Room 326, Tuesday Late Morning-ish

The message had come in a dream, tapping in to the little piece of Vorlon still left within her. G'Kar stood with a man who was at once familiar and unfamiliar, a rueful smile on his lips and apology bright in his eyes. He was terribly sorry, he said, but their travels this summer must be delayed; his duties with the Alliance were keeping him too busy.

The news could have upset her, but it didn't. Staying a few extra weeks on the island would allow her time to get to know her roommate and maybe make a few new friends. She told him this much, and knew that he understood. They would, after all, try again later in the summer. She had no intention of taking anything second mini-mester.

She awoke slowly from that dream, feeling well-rested and reassured. Sunlight streamed through the windows, and she smiled. For the first time in a very long time, she didn't feel like an orphan. There were people who were going to keep their promises, and there were friends to be made.

Tossing back the covers, she made for the bathroom and a shower.
