I can officially build functional trombone slides.
In fact, I now own a completely built by ME baroque tenor trombone: slide after Hanns Geyer 1676, bell after Hainlein 1632. (Geyer bell to come.) It's kinda cobbed together - many joints held together with tape and so on. But it PLAYS. Plays better, in fact, than the tenor I've been borrowing for the last year.
