do you ever have a moment when things click?
i just had one.
i've been spending the last seven years or so flitting about from boyfriend to boyfriend and back again searching for "the one". i've always had a tendancy to keep past flings and boyfriends in my back pocket for those just in case chances that i or they missed out on something the first time around because im not one to be closing doors on things. ever. im a pack rat. im a pack rat with boyfriends and lovahs too.
so where is this ramble going you ask?
i have been a serial dater lately and finding nothing exciting about any of them. i haven't been able to get excited for shit lately and its mostly because i think im holding out for what i think is better.
case in point. chris clemens.
chris has been my "back up plan" in quotations for years now, whether he knows it or not. the quotations are merely a disguise for the fact that i would completely date him seriously if he were to ever make up his mind about how awesome i am.
back to my moment.
so in my stalkerish ways i researched what i thought to be one of the main reasons that this had yet to happen this time around and why i was succombing myself to serial dating. i had demonized this roadblock so much so that i was giving her terrible nicknames and concluding that she was an ubermegabitch. anyway, this isn't going to sound as romantic as how i felt it, but even amidst my own bittersweet feelings on the situation, i realized after reading said roadblock's blog, how perfect they were for eachother and how i was actually sad for chris' situation. i even found myself liking her in blog form.
anyway, i just wanted to say that the bittersweet feelings for the situation are gone and hopefully i will have learned to stay out of the back pocket from now on.
