Having just this second visited the official Nightwish website, I can claim to have neither seen nor read any mention of the above. I am thus intrigued to know of your source, as indeed this letter would seemingly be heralding an inexorably grave epitaph for what was a world-class band. The reasons cited for 'firing' Tarja seem both valid and well-considered, and it is to be hoped that Nightwish set sail to the wind, and brave the storm...

My thoughts are with them...
