The war was good; the war was great. Progress was made in the Earth Kingdom, and despite the victory of the Northern Water Tribe, they posed no threat. The Waterbenders and their city had been harshly bled and broken.
In his private chambers, Ozai watched the light of flames dance across the ceiling, down the walls, piercing the black insignia like bright knives. The only thing that kept the Fire Lord awake on such nights was a flicker -- the chance his son was stronger than he had first thought.
Because, the only thing great men fear is their demise.
