SO, last night was one of the best nights I have had in a long time. Adam and I don't get a lot of time together, other than when we are co-habitating, which is you know, eat dinner, watch TV....domestic bliss. We go out sometimes but it's usually with other people or I will go out with my friends and he will go out with his friends--because we like to go to different places. We've both been SO busy lately, but last night we went out. Just the two of us (for most of the night)...and it was SO fun.
First, we couldn't decide where we wanted to go because we didn't want to go to dinner, but the bars he likes, I think are too boring...and the bars/clubs I like are either gay bars...or 'too crowded and douche-y'....
SO, we went to Porch Swing Pub, where we had never been. It's super close to the house and it was pretty low-key but really busy! We had a drink there and then I couldn't find my phone so we left...and found it on the ground outside the car!! AHHH!!! Someone could have had a really nice $400 present!! Thank God it was there!
Then, we went to Pearl Bar. It was our second time there and although it is a very different crowd than we usually care for...we like it there!! It's so crazy because I basically went to Mary Jane's every other weekend for 3-4 years to shows and then it shut down and was TOTALLY re-done and is now Pearl. It's very nostalgic in a way because we both have so many memories there but it's so different. We stayed there for awhile and played shuffleboard and had some drinks.
Lastly, we met up with Melinda, Matt and John at Catbirds...where we had also never been! It was really small and quaint and I really liked the music. Had some more drinks and laughed and had a good time!
Came home at 2am, and then I wasn't tired at all....SO I decided to watch Con-Air because I had recorded it and had never seen it and was like glued to the tv for the next 2 hours...and didn't go to bed til 4:30...and was really tired today at work!!
Overall, last night was so fun and I am so glad we got to spend time together, just the two of us, for most of the night! I am really glad I am not in the 'dating' scene anymore...it seems so complicated!!!
