Planet of the rollerskating bees

Long time no see, eh?
Finals week has come and gone and with it my grades (which I recieved, well, looked at on Christmas Day). I got a 3.3, which I'm very happy about. So I did alright and I get continue on to the next level, err, semester. Now I just need to keep up the pace and I'll be able to continue on where, a year ago, I wasn't able to.
Funny though, I recieved the letter from Regis stating I was in good academic standing last Friday... You think they'd be on the ball with that.

Becky has recieved a job at the connection newspaper in the DC area as an assistant editor for several of their papers. I'm so proud of her and jealous! She has her own phone line, e-mail address, and buisness card provided by the newspaper. Likewise she just found an apartment. During the apartment hunt I functioned as one of those on board map things (wow that sounds sophisticated). She would call me up and I would guide he through the city. By the time I go visit her I should know my way around already, or at least how to get to her apartment and several other apartment complexes.

This Winter break was nice. I got to spend some time with the family and they finally got me to watch the Firefly series. I curse them all for doing this because after watching the season and Serenity I don't get anymore. Fox Entertainment (rot their souls) decided to screw the series just like they screwed Family Guy from the beginning. Serenity (the movie) was screwed in just the same manner (playing only in select theatres). I'm not exactly why this happened, all I know is Fox has once again taken away one of the few shows I actually would have watched.
This next part is a bitchy rant:
This sort of bitterness stems from the fact that I really hate tv. This is mostly because the only thing that really captures my attention are cartoons and shows that really aren't like reality. I want something fantastic, sure I want character development and the drama of human lives, but I want it with pirates, aliens, monsters, gun fights, sword fights, car chases, battles to the death, good vs. evil, awesome badguys, kickass goodguys, spaceships, boats, science fiction words that don't size up with reality, magic, undead, heroes, villians, bad guys that turn good, good guys that turn bad!
I HATE reality tv. I've got a great idea: lets pick the most vapid clashing personalities we can find and put em in a room together and watch what happens. Why do people watch that? Why would you watch the very world you live in as entertainment? I walk away from my sort of fun knowing that the good guys won, lives were changed, something happened, THERE WAS A PLOT! I can sum up my entertainment, but what can reality tv do? Nothing, you watch the drama of people fight over something, fight each other, no one changes and I get this feeling of, I don't know, disgust for those people and then myself for even watching it. But people love watching it!
What is so interesting about modern day drama between people? I seriously don't understand what is so interesting about the convuluted mess of watching a show about relationships. Unless it is a comedy why is it so interesting?
Ugh, yes I am merely bitter that my space western show Firefly was taken away from me just as I got to watch it. Funny thing is that I don't even watch tv unless I'm around other people who do. I'm more likely to buy the seasons dvds. Screw you Fox Entertainment for giving the show such crap times and screw you America for not keeping interest.
Right I'm done with that, told you this was a bitchy little rant.

Lets see oh yeah:

(for some reason I can't upload pictures)
this beautiful lady is Becky when I went to see her during Thanksgiving Break. I kept forgetting to post it so I'm showing her off now. I'm waiting for my schedule for this next semester so I can go visit her in DC over the spring, sometime in March.

Well I can't think of anything else to say so see ya around!
