• Update
There is a big update on the wind today, rather than make it have any sense of time or continuity I will proceed to talk about whatever comes to mind.
Nightmares: I normally never remember my dreams. When I do I only get bits and pieces or my imagination just fills in the blanks to make it cooler. However I do have my nightmares. Most recently I drempt about driving in the snow with my Dad. We hit some ice and got buried in a snow drift. Somehow (and my Dad is in pretty good health) my Dad started having a heart attack. I've only had this sick feeling of panic and dread a few times before and it is a feeling I never want to have again. I woke up remembering that I was frantically thinking of what I could do. Hopefully I never have to face that situation as a reality.
Undead and the stink of clean:I think this will be the title of my new musical. It will be like the sound of music but with zombies that have the closing duty at a big restaurant... What I meant to say is that Chris (a classmate) and I are in agreement that if we played Thriller in the cadaver lab and performed some minor ritual, we could cause the cadavers to dance to the song and then attack helpless undergrads. Tomorrow we actually have our first anatomy test followed by the lab test on Wednesday. This will entail us wandering around the lab identifying stuff on the cadavers for an hour or so. Wish me luck! The moch exam went well (thanks 2nd and 3rd years for putting it on) then three of us cleaned up the lab before leaving (hence the stink of clean: cadaver lab and lemony fresh cleaning solution).
Bad-Ass Concerts:Friday night opened with the Kaiser Chiefs (alternative group from Ireland) which played a nice opening act. Next up: Weezer! They were a lot of fun. Luke Hammond (another classmate, call him Hambone) made it to the 4th row or there abouts. I'm sure I could have rushed forward through the mob of people and jump onto the stage if I hadn't been terrified of the crowd control staff (they look like Mr. Clean but really pissed off). Weezer rocked us, we sang along. Some guy (random) got pulled from the crowd to play the acoustic guitar to Undone, he looked so happy and scared at the same time. It makes me want to pick up the guitar just so I could be that guy (his name was Steve come to think of it). The headline act was the Foo Fighters. I was blown away by this act, literally, the sound was so loud that I actually retreated from the 4th row (that I had been holding fiercly against the oncoming tide of fans trying to make it to the front) to the back. Dave Grohl has some pipes, his singing was incredible and he could yell so loud. They played Everlong in a really slow way instead of it's normal fast paced tempo. It was actually really good that way. It is hard to describe the concert really, by the end I was so tired from cheering, singing along, and jumping around that my legs barely held me up. I had forgotten that I wore my pedometer to the concert. At the end of the show (by the rough calculations that are pedometers) I had moved the equivalent of 2 miles from the start of the show until I got home.
Incredible.
Art
Lately I have meant to start drawing every day to eventually hone my skills into such a way that I could contribute to a "web comic." Hopefully this isn't some pipe dream that will never come about but something that I could create for my own sake) into a reality.
Elections
This Friday the nominations for class government are being cast. I'm gonna throw my hat into the presidential ring - bring it!
Thanksgiving
I will be spending this Thanksgiving with Becky in Washington DC. I haven't seen Becky in awhile so I am really excited. As an added bonus I get to be in Washington DC! Yehaw!
Lewt to the boot
Becky, Brian, and myself will be playing on the Emerald Dream server as Elfaba, Gulliver, and Heidegger respetively on Thursdays. Currently my character is facing some personal issues- namely being the priest of the group essential to dungeon runs) and being a dwarf thus dubbed ugly by everyone I know) has given me reason to behave like a bastard, which is a perfect sort of character for me to run when I am tired after school. Guild names are still under consideration.
Running and Lifting
Lets face it, I look like a runner - this is great if you look at me from the navel down. Knowing that I could benefit from lifting weights and the fact that some people would like to see me with a better upper body) has not inspired) given me the idea to start something up. However, I hate lifting weights. I really do, a gym is a place of treadmills and bad music the radio is constantly set to some horrible hip-hop station, try as I might I still don't care for that music). I WILL do it though.
Running-wise I need to get to bed earlier so I won't feel like crap when I get up at 5 or 6 to go running.
Right - on to studying.
