long time no update
yeah, so obviously i don't update much. this semester is finally closing to an end, and i'm really ready for it. it's been rather trying, both in and out of class. i'm still worried about one class in particular (algorithms), i dont even know if i'm going to pass it. all my other classes are going reasonably smoothly.
lessee... well, i finally have an apartment. or will have soon, rather. i can't move in until after noon on the 13th. why, i dont know, but i'm only gettin charged half a month's rent, so it saves me a little money. i'd just rather not feel so rushed to move, since the dorms close on the 14th or 15th. but mom and wes are planning on coming over to help out and get me settled in. she's been saving up stuff to bring me. i've got some dishes and silverware and things of that nature layin around, so she's gonna bring all that.
it's nothing fancy, a little 250 square foot studio, but it's cheap @ $295, and it's really close to campus. i think it will work out just fine for me. bigger than my dorm room, and i'll have my own kitchen and bathroom.
money's probably gonna be a little tight, although the only amenity i'm allowing myself for now is DSL. i'll have to see how things go to decide if i can afford cable or not. but, i am gonna work full time over the summer, instead of just 25 hours a week, so that'll be a fair amount of extra money every month.
i've started donated plasma a couple times a week. it's decent money, $20 if i donate once, $30 if i donate again in the same week. so $50 a week, and it doesn't take too long, usually from the time i leave my room 'til i get back is around 2 hours.
in more exciting news (at least to me) i should hopefully be playing d&d regularly again. i found this nifty group of people in the area that play lots of different role-playing games, and i've already got 1 good prospect for a group that's starting, we should start playing within 2 weeks, i think. another guy invited me to play in a game over the summer. hopefully i'll have time for that, but i dont know what my full time schedule is going to be like just yet.
anyway, that's about it i guess before this gets too long. not like very many people are probably reading this anyhow. i'm just really bored, and dont feel like getting out of my chair to find something else to do :P
