Once again, I let (more than) an entire year go by since
my last entry without posting anything else here...
For some reason, I did this despite still checking and posting comments on LiveJournal entries from other people on a regular basis, and despite having other topics I've considered blogging about--from various fannish developments, to my extreme disappointment (but not surprise) with how NASFIC turned out in Winnipeg this summer, to my refreshingly chill trip to New York in October.
One development I will mention from this year is that I finally have a theme song, thanks to Austria's own Teya & Salena and the Eurovision Song Contest:

(As someone who has long had issues with popular culture's approach to my name and the...not great...existing examples of its use, you might not realise how nice it is to finally have a song, and how much of a relief it is that the song in question is a bop.)
That song is on
the official Eurovision 2023 soundtrack, even though Teya & Salena don't seem to have a standalone album yet (and it currently sounds like they might go their separate ways without one, unfortunately). Until (and unless) such a release happens, they've at least continued to release other tracks, and they kept things topical with a(n admittedly somewhat explicit) holiday track:

Finally, what would this year of
Barbie and
Oppenheimer be without a seasonal reminder of the Barbenheimer phenomenon from Ryan Gosling, performing "I'm Just Ken" in a holiday remix:

Happy Holidays, everyone! I hope you're all able to find something you identify with over time.
