As you should expect by now, after similar experiences with
the first season and
the second season, I once again encountered quite a bit of potentially homoerotic innuendo in the course of watching
Season Three of Star Trek: The Original Series...
Perhaps this is only appropriate for a season, and a series, which ended in '69. ;)
On that suggestive note, I give you:
Top Ten Unusual Slashy Lines (TOS Season Three Edition)
[As with previous lists, "unusual" means that no Kirk/Spock lines were included.]
10)
McCoy/Spock: "You've got a...a good bedside manner, Spock."
9)
Kirk/Chekov: "He lost control. So did I. We're becoming animal warriors."
8)
Hodin/Spock/Scott: "You shall test the skill of your very excitable repairman."
7)
Spock/Scott: "That position, Mister Scott, would not only be unavailing, but also undignified."
6)
Scott/Spock: "That's it--I've done all I can. There's nothing out there to grab a hold of and bring in."
5)
Morg/Kirk: "You are small, like the others."
4)
Dickerson/Kirk: "All I know, sir, is what the captain tells me, and he says he'll have the hide of the first man who so much as smiles."
3)
Garth/Kirk: "On your knees before me! All the others before me have failed."
2)
Alexander/Parmen: "Don't stop me! Let me finish him off!"
...and the most unusual slashy line of the season:
1)
Adam/Kirk: "Oh, Herbert, you are stiff!"
