Those of you who've been following developments related to
Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog should already know this, but Mutant Enemy recently held applications for the
Evil League of Evil. Aspiring villains needed to send a three-minute video explaining why they would make good members of the ELE, and those who made the Bad Horse gleeful will be included in the eventual DVD.
Despite the tight deadline, Nathan Town (he of Mosquito and its online continuation,
which I've talked about before) managed to put together an application on behalf of the nefarious Vagabond:
You can watch this video on www.livejournal.com
Several other people I know (including
emerald01 and
faile02) have also put together applications which are worth a look, but I have to say that I think Nathan's is excellent, especially in its use of humour and multiple locations, and I would be shocked if it didn't make the DVD cut.
Nathan himself has
a blog post detailing some of the other top applications. (My favourite of those would definitely be
Tur-Mohel. Mazel tov!) I thought it was cool of him to profile the competition--though based on the comments on Vimeo, I have to say the applicants are more "League" and less "Evil" in how well they're getting along with one another.
