Ethically irresponsible but I couldn't resists
I was walking by the copier in my office. (There's no choice really. It's right by the door and to get to my desk I have to dodge it and the people using it.) I found a paper printed out. It was apparently an assignment for class.
I'll post it here with my editorial comments.
What i learned about Puertirico [the GWB pronunciation?]
In 1493 Christopher Columbus landed on Spain. [I see the connection to the title]
They have all three ethnic groups [Black, White, and other?]
Spain and the U.S. had a war [Please ignore everything in the 400 years between Columbus
and the Spanish American War.]
A lot of puerticricans fought in World War 1 [Half Latino/Half Cricket- only known enemy is
the dreaded Chupacabra!]
Some puerticricans wanted there island to be part of the 51 states [Texas counts twice]
Puerticricans were Americans also [before the tsunami/meteor?]
They spoke a different language
They had 7 main states that puerticans went to [not to be confused with the
puerticricans]
They have many accents
Some don't have any accents [THE BIG FINALE!]
