And after years of being in bands and playing shows and spending long nights in studios practicing - I will finally have my name as a performer/composer on a full length album.
By tomorrow night - the Walking With Cavemen LP will be recorded. All that needs to happen after that is mixing and mastering and it'll be ready for duplication.
I can barely comprehend the feelings that come with all of this. I've written something in the neighborhood of 200 songs and have never been a part of a real release of any kind. Sure, there were the Waste of Space and Crystalis demos but they were CD-Rs with covers made of folded copy paper.
The idea of holding this work in my hands - knowing that it's a representation of the best of my abilities up to this point - it's all a realization of a dream I've had for a long, long time now. I never gave up because I couldn't. All I know now is that once this album materializes I will be content and ready to move on the next adventure.
My other goal - long left unfulfilled - touring. It's no longer some kind of impossible daydream. It could very well happen this year.
Wish me luck.
Oh, and let me know if you'd like a copy of the album when it comes out.
