hm now that im sure nobody reads this anymore, i can pretty much type anything i want here with no fear of countermeasures being taken against me. theoretically, i could talk about how putting kittens in garbage disposals turns me on, or i could talk about how force feeding my roommates raw eggs gives me an erection. but i will refrain from doing so, as it were. no, instead i will discuss my trip to philadelphia today. today, i went to philadelphia. i left this morning and got there this afternoon. first item to discuss was the new construction going on. it has been about 9 months since ive been there i think, and i had no idea how quickly a skyscraper could be built. so this new glass skyscraper looked about done, and i very much approve of its location. additionally, there is a new tourist attraction in philly. yet ANOTHER constitution related building is up. the "national constitution center" or some shit. ridiculous, but it went up so fast. anyway, on to south street. the first thing that happened as i walked out onto the sidewalk was this nasty old biker lady walking in front of me tripped and fell on her ass right on the sidewalk. luckily, i was walking behind her so i could laugh all i wanted. it was even more enjoyable, however, to watch people walking in the other directions responses. ive never seen people try not to laugh so hard in my life. and it was extra-special when they'd be at the point where theyd passed her but not me, and we could exchange knowing grins. good times. so then i stopped in starbucks to pee-pee...and the line was like 50 people long. but i waited, cuz i really had to pee. then i got a coffee and went to the record store and bought a record. actually a cee dee. after a little more walking around i quickly noticed that there were a number of guys who had absolutely nothing going for them but long hair. you cut the hair off some of these kids and theyd have thier head in a toilet more frequently than a plunger. but they have long hair, so theyre cool. this slightly increases my respect for guys who have short hair and are considered "cool". i think a higher percentage of them actually bring something to the table. not that id know. so i left south street. i put in my new cd and headed to marys house. i had an arrangement to meet her since she was down there for the weekend. i came up with a HILARIOUS knock-knock joke as i pulled in her driveway, but i think i ended up laughing at it more than her. oh well, im still awesome. we ended up going to this resturant (i forget the name) in this fake town near her house. its one of those disney-esque towns, if you know what i mean. hard to explain. but anyway, we sat outside and there was a tree right behind me when i was eating. we also had an umbrella. but back to the tree. theres something about eating at an outdoor cafe and having a TREE behind you that just enhances the whole experience. thats all ill say about that. which also reminds me, it would be cool if flowers were the size of trees. i was thinking this as i was driving to philly. i noticed all the trees on the mountainsides, and i thought to myself "what if those trees were actually flowers. giant flowers." itd be colorful, and probably a bit hideous, if not distracting. dr seuss comes to mind. so i had a lovely dinner with mary, we discussed a variety of topics and a good time was had by all. then she gave me a brief tour of her hometown, which was pretty boring, not gonna lie. but in all honesty, when is a hometown NOT boring unless its a city. then i went ahead and dropped her off and then i drove home. turns out i didnt bring enough cds for the trip, so i had to listen to one twice and i ended up listening to my new one like 3 and a half times. its not that i liked it THAT much, i was just least familiar with it, so it didnt seem like i was listening to it over and over again.
tomorrow is really gonna suck. monday might too. but tuesday should be an improvement. [insert more stuff]
