spent the weekend in ruston lousiana at the louisiana tech debate touriment. I was invited to tag along as a judge. it was interesting. i doodled the picture over the weekend when i had spare time between judging rounds, its nothing spectacular and much like one i did a long time ago, just in color, but i needed to practice making the curves right so when i paint something like this on a big canvass which is my next project. ....It was the first time i went on one of those trips since 4 years ago when i attended louisiana college, and it reminded me of who i was 4 years ago, and it was kind of surreal. there was this one round i judged... the resolution was "Africa needs to be restructured." the girl who was the affirmative just happened to be from Sierra Leone, and the things she said were a unique educational experience for me. Then the girl who was negative was saying a bunch of bullshit about "who are we as americans to say... blah blah blah maybe they dont need democracy, maybe communism or totalatarianism would work best for them we just dont know.. " and it seemed as if she actually believed what she is saying, and it is scary that people can be so ignorant. its like, look bitch, she was there, she knows what it was like....
if nothing else, it was a nice break from chemistry.
