Hello there!

So, I am going to try this ljrevival thing, because I really do miss lj quite a bit, and while I love tumblr, there is something so nice about being able to comment specifically on things and have conversations through comments without having to be on AIM or ichat or meebo for the whole day.

That being said, I am going to tell you all a little about myself, and I guess where my life is right now, because I'm sure I have friends on here that see my sad/angry/emotional posts and have no idea.

I made this journal in my 7th grade year. I turned 13 the previous December, and the world was my oyster!

Except not really.

I was about as happy as any 13 year old is, which is to say I was content, my life was going pretty well, I was in a musical (you can actually go back and read the old entries, they're still there) and life was ok. I didn't worry about things, and I posted a lot about movies. I still post a lot about movies.

As I progressed into High School, I went through what I refer to as my "phase." I am not ashamed of this phase, because everyone has one and it's perfectly natural, but it was obviously embarrassing and I bring it up all the time because I'm insecure about it. I dyed my hair black when I was 14, started shopping almost exclusively at Hot Topic and wearing things that represented my deep, dark soul. Etc. I got over this when I was about 15 or 16; dyed my hair back to its natural blonde and started wearing non-embarrassing HT clothing and that's basically where I am today. High school was both easy and hard for me; things happened that I'd rather forget but I also have tons and tons of memories that I wouldn't trade for the world.

Enter: College.

I am 21 years old. I am in my third year (sixth semester) at Mary Baldwin College, which is a liberal arts, all-women's, private school. It is presbyterian based, but that, for me, is neither here nor there, because it is wonderful. To come to this college, I moved from my home in small-town Texas to small-town Virginia, which is very insane and I spend a lot of time talking about it. More time than most people really care about, actually. Oh well. It's very different than where I grew up, but I love it, and I love the time I get to spend here.

I am a Theatre major with a minor in English and potentially History, so I love to analyze things and connect them to other things and sometimes I just like to sit and think about stuff. And then yell about it with my friends. I am also a part of my school's Student Government Association. I serve on the Executive Committee as Inter-Club Council Chairwoman. I was elected into this position by my peers, and I attend student senate each tuesday. As ICC chairwoman I oversee all club event policies and make sure that their needs are met. It's boring and totally not exciting, but I get paid and it looks awesome on a resume, and I have fun doing it.

Now that I am done with the tl;dr section, here is a list of my fandoms.

Fandoms:
-Figure Skating
-Sherlock (both BBC and the movie versions, plus the novels)
-The Avengers (mainly the movies)
-X-Men (cartoons, comics and movies)
-The Social Network
-Doctor Who
-LOST
-Once Upon a Time
-Friday Night Lights
-Arrested Development
-Star Trek (TOS and the new movies)
-Anything JJ Abrams touches
-Anything David Fincher has made
-Quentin Tarantino films
-Basically anything James McAvoy is in
-see above for Michael Fassbender
-Band of Brothers
-The Pacific
-So, so many books
-Heroes
-Game of Thrones
-Veronica Mars

and I'm going to stop now because that list is obnoxious. SO, anyway, my journal is friends only, but please feel free to comment here to be added, because I would like that quite a bit!
