Thus ends Poker Night
The gang just cleared out. I ended up down $4.50. Not bad for an evening of entertainment, and a fridge stocked with beer. Plus, a nickel rebate on all the empties, I probably came out ahead.
In other news, Celtic Faire engine is going full steam. Two months to go. I've got to spend the weekend designing all of the ads I just placed (I've been promoted to Advertising Director.) I still have to design the program. Only 8 pages to fill, and I have no info yet. Stress? That's for the weak. After all of that is done, I have to organize the Scotch vs. Irish Whiskey Tasting Competition. Best part of the job.
Anybody have any suggestions on brands? So far, I've got Jameson's and Powers for Irish. They've both placed highly in the previous competitions, but have not gone up against each other. Plus, I need some single malt Scotch ideas. Normally, we stock Famous Grouse, Highland Park and Macallan, all 12-year, but ourr sponsor might be out, so those spots are available.
