So, anyway.
So, anyway, here's the big update.
I've sworn off guys for a while. I know i've said that before and it hasn't worked, but I just really don't want to deal with the hassle of relationships right now. I'm fine with having guys for friends - really, that's who i get along with best anyway, except for my VIPP - but i'm not going to be dating any time soon.
I just got out of a really crappy relationship where i got kicked around a lot emotionally. It completely wrecked my self esteem, and made me not really want anything to do with guys for a while, at least romantically. Also, i honestly just haven't seen anything i LIKE. maybe i'm just being picky, but i'm pretty serious about this decision right now.
Anyway, even if i did want to date, i wouldn't have the time for it. I'm working 7 days a week right now, holding down 4 jobs, just so i can pay my bills and afford to get back to school next semester. I'm lucky if i get a day off every two weeks, and I want to spend that catching up with my friends here, like my VIPP, who i haven't seen in FOREVER.
I got into Phi Alpha Theta, which is the historical honor society at Western (and all over). I've got good grades, and I'm making friends like wildfire. I'm back at lake carroll for the summer doing office work, being a campground hostess, and managing the marina. I also help my mom out at Genie temps once or twice a week.
I just got back from ACen last week, and I had a blast. There was some incredible shopping to be done, and there were a million cosplayers, which ranged from craptacular to freaking amazing. I also stayed at my friend Rob Passovoy's parent's house during the con, and i got to hand-feed the coi in their pond, which was great. Aya got a video of it,and there's also lots of pictures. She doesn't have an internet connection right now, but as soon as she does, i'll try and get copies to post.
My other friend Rob came to visit from Virginia by the time that I got back from ACen, so I had to try to get in all the time i could before he left again. I had a blast with him, like usual. he fixed my psp and my mom's computer, and I ate octopus with his fam. He went back home already, and I miss him like crazy. I know it's selfish, but I really wish I could see him more often. He's extremely good company.
My friend Nate got hurt, so I had to make him a get well card today. I spent all night taking pictures and making the card and envelope for it, so I hope he'll like it. He got jumped by some guys for protecting a friend, which i can really respect. i just hope he takes better precautions in the future, and this kind of thing doesn't happen again. I worry about him a lot.
Well, it's about time to sign off. I've got work again early in the morning, so I'd better not stay up too late. I'll probably post more updates later.
