Have you ever had a large chunk of skin suddenly, violently, and inexplicably removed from your body?
WELL I SURE AS HELL HAVE.
And allow me to enlighten you about something: it hurts like a BEAST. Seriously. I even considered running to fetch the bone saw, that I might amputate my foot, but then I'd have had to utilize my feet to get it, and therein was my problem.
No, I won't explain the circumstances. They're too gory and depressing to intimate. Just know that it happened in a random Act of Violence, and that the Magic Eight Ball totally predicted that it was going to happen. Well, actually, it just let me know that I was going to be mutilated horribly in some capacity, but I didn't believe it until just a few minutes ago.
I think, up till this point, my feet had been relatively scarless. But the Eight Ball seems to think that this is gonna leave a mark, despite the entire tube of Neosporin with which I lathered the (admittedly) small section of my foot.
In other news, camp officially ended today. It should be noted that I PWN at the Compassion Fatigue. I did suck pretty hard the first time I ran it, but the second time I did, I knew exactly what arguments I was going to run, what answers to make to the Affirmative responses, and I was pretty speaking, too! ^_^
*happy*
Anyway, mixed sentiments abound. It's a bittersweet affair, having to leave these people with whom I've become so close in the span of three weeks. I feel like I've been living here forever (though it's probably worse for Nick and Alex...), and I'll miss the place. And being the OCD work-a-holic that I am, I'll miss the work as well. And the people. All of them. Well, okay, maybe not Alex, but he doesn't count cause I'll see him all the time.
I've even gotten to get along better with Scott. And I'll miss the lab leaders most of all, I think...Aimi, especially. She's too cool for words. And she'll f*cking end you if you hurt her laptop in any way. Seriously. *laughs*
Hell, I'll even miss ol' Julio Ho, as he so eloquently named himself tonight when we went to eat dinner at some really quaint (excellent) Thai place. Even Cam liked the food, which is odd since he hates "Oriental food, since it tastes like soap." Or at least that's what he said about Chopsticks...heh heh
I DEFINITELY won't miss the bags under my eyes. No, sir. Not at all. And I'll enjoy being able to sleep in till whenever I want, which is ALWAYS nice. Yes. Always. But I'm gonna have to crack down and get to work when I DO get home. I've got to finish the scrapbook for last year, read "Crime and Punishment" for English IV next year, and help Alex and Raza lay out the Grand Design for next year's team. Huzzah. *sarcasm*
Yeah...I'm done now. I've got sleep to catch up on...or not.
