The hottest rumor in music this week is that Rage Against The Machine will reform to headline Coachella in April.

L.A. Times reports that Rage Against The Machine, with lost sheep Zack de la Rocha, will reunite to take the same stage they stood on in 1999.

Yesterday, Undercover reported that Rage guitarist Tom Morello will appear as The Nightwatchman at SxSW in Austin.

Rage Against The Machine disbanded in 2000 but despite high hopes for lead singer Zack de la Rocha, he is yet to release a solo project.

The other three members, Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk recruited former Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell and reinvented themselves as Audioslave.

Both Morello and Cornell are about to release solo albums.

Coachella's rumored line-up features a juggernaut of top shelf acts.

Also expected to be announced later this week - Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bjork, Crowded House, Willie Nelson, Sonic Youth, Air, Arctic Monkeys, The Roots, Kings of Leon and the Decemberists.

Tickets for Coachella go on sale this Saturday. The official line-up will also be unveiled on Saturday.
