The text of the Akathist to St. Raphael of Brooklyn is precious. Here in our house, due to the wonderful generosity of some dear friends we served the Order for a Stand-Alone Akathist in front of our own shrine. My one sponsor for the Priesthood was blessed to receive a relic of Saint Raphael from His Beatitude THEODOSIUS and for some unknown reason bestowed it to my care as a gift upon my elevation to the priesthood. We had a Cherry case made for the Ikon and it is unquestionably the centerpiece of our home.
