Why "Yes" it has been quite awhile since I've posted on LJ, and I regret not being more faithful yet that crazy little thing called "LIFE" seems to get the best of my time! After closing out the second semester at St. Tikhons we were able to help and assist our dearest friends move on from their Seminary lives into their Parish lives...that was so many things rolled into one. Painful...because selfishly we wanted them to stay and continue to be a presence in our lives (physically...for they of course will ALWAYS be a presence regardless of distance). Joyous...because their ministry is blessed by God and they are going to do as God and their Bishop has called them to do. Fearful...for if these next two years move as quickly as this past year has then we will be doing the same in the oh-so-near future!
We've already started the homeschooling routine...YES...we know it's still Summer. We are doing this so that during the year when MY school has breaks, then we can ALL take a break and maybe take short jaunts to visit our loved ones in Ohio, PA, NJ...and oh yes...Nebraska...(especially in January!). I have been passing the time working the night shift at a local mfg. plant where I perform an assembly line job from 6:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., um...can you say "BRUTAL"? It has truly shown me my age...as 11 of those hours is spent ON MY FEET! UGH.
We have not had the opportunity to visit Y-town like we've wanted this summer but hopefully when we go to the House of Studies here shortly we'll all get to detour through our favorite Ohio town before we head back to NEPA. I have been excused from "class-time" at the House of Studies so I will get to do some travelin' while I'm on the Western side of PA...it will be nice to have my family along for the ride.
Finally, my new toy...my MacBook has this neat little iSight Camera that allows you to goofify your pictures soooooooo here's a taste of what our family has been lookin like when we aren't traveling, home-schooling, night-shifting!!
