Happy 16th Anniversary & Happy 9th Birthday!!
16th Anniversary Dance
Originally uploaded by Guard the Trust. What a day it was!! Started the morning as I believe all Moretti's do on their birthdays, which is by having Sofia open her presents in bed! Normally, the birthday celebrant ALSO gets breakfast in bed as well, however...Sofia was born on OUR wedding anniversary and as having 3 food trays in one bed would be precarious at best, we all headed downstairs and I prepared our traditional Eggs Benedict (Lord forgive us for having Canadian Bacon on 'em?) for all!
As per Sofia's request, we all went out shopping at...well..at several places! It was a wonderful family day.
At the "close" of the day, we headed down to St. Mary in Wilkes-Barre in order to do a fantastically fun sleepover with the teens & with the ones that will soon be teens! As you can see from the picture, there is a karaoke machine in the back and we got quite the show. It also gave us the opportunity to have a dance on our Anniversary (which as you can see we didn't get to have entirely by ourselves!)
All in all, as we launch ourselves into this Lenten season, it was such a blessing to be able to spend this final evening in a "celebration" that was had at the Church.
With that in mind, our family's prayer is that this Great Lent be the spiritually enriching time that it was meant to be!
