Hang on to your hats, kids... we're getting down into the homestretch now, Unfortunately, our more expensive purchases lay ahead.
On the Ninth Day of Christmas, my true love gave to me:
Nine Ladies Dancing;
Eight Maids a-Milking;
Seven Swans a-Swimming;
Six Geese a-Laying;
Five Gold Rings!
Four Calling Birds;
Three French Hens;
Two Turtle Doves;
and A Partridge in a Pear Tree.
Nine Ladies Dancing: Having worked with the Rockettes, I can tell you that the fee for nine ladies dancing is not a cheap one. Dancers don't work for free, you know. Each lady will charge you about $508.46 per week to kick up her heels and strut her stuff across the stage. [And just in case you're thinking that you can avoid paying them, because you're only using them for one day... guess again. No dancer works without a period of rehearsal first] Of course, you're probably going to have to pay for a band, as well as costumes (not to mention feeding them), but that's a story for the rest of the week. Your overhead costs so far? $4576.14.
