Moving to NYC
That or I need to win enough money to hire a chauffer permanently. I have THE worst luck with vehicles. I have not owned a car that hasn't come to physical damage at some point, both my fault and others. Accidents, theft, stealing the WHOLE CAR, etc. And today I can add another accident to the list. ::sigh:: (I'd already gotten into an accident with this one too so I thought it would be okay haha)
We were driving to take Matt to school and and I decided to drive so Matt could play this game on my DS. I was going straight down the road and this chick decided turning while I was already in the intersection was a good idea. ::sigh:: Luckily she has insurance and its Titan so I'm hoping they won't be total assholes. Altough, the guy who owned the business that I pulled into so I wouldn't be sitting in the intersection was an asshole. He comes out all "You need to move your car!" It went like this:
Me: "Um...I was just in an accident"
"were you in an accident in my parking lot?"
Me: "No."
"Then how did your car get here? You need to move it."
Me: "Its not drivable. And the officer told me to leave it here so you can take it up with him"
So then I walk over to where the paramedics are checking Matt out (yeah, there was an ambulance and fire truck in the parking lot with my car too) and they're like "tell the cop. He's being an ass" So just then the cop is walking back towards me and as I turn to point to the guy he is KICKING MY CAR and touching on the shit that's now clumped around my wheel telling Matt's dad he's pretty sure we can drive it far enough to move it. I yell at him to stop touching my car and the cop walks over to him. He even tells the cop I need to move it! The cop was like I told her not to, its not moving. Its not drivable. So he tells the cop that he thinks it is and I need to move it. The cop was like "Um......do you not see that I am a police officer. She is not moving this vehicle so you need to go ahead and go back inside your store and not worry about it."
I noticed the only other car in the lot was the owners. GEE! I wonder why he doesn't have more business. Jackass.
Oh, and when the tow guy got there he said that he'd had four accidents there this week to pick up and the guy was an asshole to all of them, so if he seemed to be working fast that was why. I laughed and told him what he'd said to us and he's all "Yep. That's the guy"
I told my parents I was moving somewhere that I don't need a car so that sounds good. Lol.
I got a rental car - her insurance is supposed to reimburse me for cost, and I went to the Enterprise we've used before and they were awesome and I got a great deal. Its a little Saturn Ion but its kinda cute. I don't think I'd own it - the dash/controls drive me nuts and I haven't had it a full day haha. I'll talk to their adjustor tomorrow and find out if they're going to total it or fix it. I'm really hoping for "fix it" so if you could cross your fingers that'd be super. If they total it, it won't be horrible but its not going to be the best thing. Thank goodness I'm working! I did manage to get my timesheet in today so I'll get my first paycheck Friday - woot :-D
Okay,that's long enough and tomorrow I'll probably go back and cut it. I need to go do the homework that I was going to do while Matt was in class that I obviously didn't get too. (um......that and watch Nip/Tuck haha. Yeah Mario Lopez abs that, as Angie said, I could wash a quilt on. YuM!
