I'm still pretty much on a hiatus for a few more days, because I have too many things to do and I don't have time to be online for gaming or journaling, but I wanted to explain things a little more fully to you guys. You've all been so supportive and so wonderful with your comments and emails.
On Tuesday June 5th, my father shot himself. It was fairly unexpected as none of my family had much of an indication that he was depressed or that he had been in that much pain. He's had severe arthritis in his lower back and hips, and a few months ago he fell and injured his knee quite severely, so he's been in a lot of pain. My family and I think that with all the things he's dealt with for the last 10 years and all the pain he's been in, that he just couldn't deal with it anymore, so he chose to end his life.
I'm the oldest child and as my parents are divorced and my father had no will, it falls to me to take care of all his arrangements and make all the phone calls neccessary and be the one responsible for getting his affairs in order. It's been very difficult and time consuming, so I probably won't be back online for RPG's and journaling for a few more days, until at least Monday if not later.
Thank you guys so much for all your emails and comments and support. It means the world to me that in the vast wide open space of the internet, there are people that care about me, even if they didn't know what was wrong.
