Election predictions sure to go wrong....
LiveJournal has puzzled me recently--somehow the direction control on the right of the writing window switched to the left, allowing you to only see one letter per line. I finally figured out it was caused by the new version of Internet Explorer and I figured out how to fix the problem. So I'm back.
The great presidential election of 2008 occurs Tuesday. With that in mind, here are my predictions for the near future:
1) Barack Obama will be the next President.
2) John McCain will be a gracious loser, unlike most members of his party.
3) Sarah Palin will not go away. She's the new darling of the Religious Right and will likely be stalking the country raising money for the next election cycle very soon.
4) Expect a hysterical reaction to Obama's election from those who believe he stands for Evil itself. In the US, I dare say that's 10% of the electorate.
5) We'll still be in Iraq this time next year.
6) The economy won't be any better this time next year.
