Last time: Anna got a job in the medical field, and met Evan in the park. She then followed him to the gym and asked him personal and invasive some questions. They later got married and Anna realized she was pregnant.
Here's a CAS shot of Evan.
He's a Clumsy, Good Coward with Commitment Issues and No Sense of Humor. He likes salsa music, fruit parfaits and the color yellow. His lifetime wish is to be a Renaissance Sim.
Evan took the news quite well, except for his now almost obsessive desire to fix and up-grade everything in the house.
Evan: I have to make sure everything's in tip-top shape for the baby. Gotta make a good impression, you know?
I don't think that your child will be able to tell if the sink is unbreakable or not until they're actually old enough to break the sink in the first place.
Evan: Hi baby. You won't have to worry about any broken appliances on my watch! I'm going to make sure you learn all the ways to repair stuff and we can bond over fixing the toilet and- *continues rambling about repairs*
Anna: Evan, honey. I was just asking you if this shirt looked okay. You don't need to talk to my stomach all the time.
Evan: Oh. Well, in that case, that shirt is a really awful print.
Mm, yes. That shirt is a much better print.
Anna: Can't talk, I'm kind of busy. You know, GIVING BIRTH.
Evan: Okay, ten more reps! Whew. Pace yourself Evan. Power through this.
Soon enough, Evan realized that Anna was having a child, but not until she had left for the hospital in a cab. He ran after her (have to work on that athletic skill!) and joined her at the hospital. There was a pregnant lady yelling at a man outside the hospital. He listened, but then pulled out a book and read while she continued to yell.
Anna: Heh heh, baby.
Yup, it is indeed a baby! And a girl at that. Meet Anathema Dickens, the first member of generation one. Generation one will be named after characters from Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. It's a fabulous book! She is a Clumsy Heavy Sleeper. She enjoys indie music, tri-tip steak and the color pink.
I'm not going to lie, I skipped the baby stage. It's wicked boring. So, without further ado... Anathema as a toddler.
Yeah, I'm not sure why the picture's so far away. I also forgot to get a CAS shot. *Sigh* I fail as a simmer sometimes...
Anna: Books are very important.
Anathema: Books!
Teaching the necessary skills goes quickly with only one toddler in the house. and Anathema's birthday comes quickly. I have pretty much no pictures of her as a toddler, and I'm not sure why. So here's a lovely CAS shot of her as a child! She gained the trait Unlucky.
Looks like Anathema's not going to be an only child for long. Have you even been to work lately Anna?
Anna: Um, well... I got off when I was pregnant with Anathema, and I finished maternity leave, so I've been to a couple of days, thank you very much.
Evan: Guess what? I got a promotion! I practicing tank maneuvers and after I was finished executing a few turns, boss radioed over and said-
Anna: Congratulations. By the way, I'm pregnant.
Evan: Oh. Uh, good effort.
He seemed *thrilled* by the news, giving Anna a thumbs up and a smile. They both rolled a wish to have a boy.
Anathema: Ah, building. What fun.
Anna: Anathema, sweetheart, I need to tell you something.
Anna: So you may have noticed I've gained some weight recently.
Anathema: Hm, really.
Anna: Well, you're going to be a big sister!
Anathema: Woah, no way.
Anathema: Hon hon hon~ That was a nice move there, but no one defeats me! Not even...myself.
Honestly, Anathema is the only sim I've ever had that comes home and does her homework right away. Like instantly. And she cleans too!
As Evan attempts to upgrade the stove to be fireproof, it bursts into flames! Of course, the fire department doesn't show up for hours, so who saves the day?
Not Evan! He chooses to pass out from fear, letting his pregnant wife and child deal with the flames. Nice.
The baby decided that it is rather upset to have missed the excitement in person.
Anathema: Oh god, my young, impressionable eyes! I am never pro-creating!
Say hello to the latest addition, Pepper Dickens. She is athletic and friendly, and likes classical music, goopy carbona and the color aqua.
Pepper: I will bite the head off of this horse and enjoy every second of it.
She vaguely scares me. But really only in this photo.
Aw, sisterly bonding.
Pepper: Wh-where did you go? Everything's dark! Oh the humanity!
Jeez, too bad she didn't get the dramatic trait.
Next time:
-Will Anna get knocked up again?
-Will I ever play the baby stage?
-Why is Anathema constantly in her pajamas?
-Will the stove ever be fully upgraded?
-How many days of work will Anna actually attend?
