Since I actually have the time...
Wow... the first update in like, 20+ weeks... and what an update it's going to be! :)
First of all, things at the new home are going well. Three rooms have been completed thus far and things look so different than when we got it. I'm so proud of hubby for the wonderful work he's accomplished. We have only two rooms left to finish. We have to re-panel the livingroom which won't take much or long to do. Then there's the most expensive room to redo... the kitchen. Everything has to go. The fridge has about bit the dust, the stove it older than me (or so it seems) and the cabinets are so sad it almost makes me cry. We're also treating ourselves to a dishwasher. And since we have some of the hardwood flooring left over from the bedrooms we've decided it would really look nice in the kitchen so we just have to get what little we need to finish the floor in there.
And we've got the rooms done in time to have to switch around our thinking. The back bedroom was to be ours and the front bedroom was going to be the computer room. Well, now that we're expecting our first child in September, the back bedroom has become Peanut's nursery and the front bedroom will be ours.
Yes you read that right... I'm pregnant! :) My due date is supposed to be September 6th but God only knows when Peanut will decide to show up. As of my last ultrasound a few weeks ago, the tech said she was pretty darn sure we will be having ourselves a bouncing baby boy :) Names are still being decided but we have one in mind that we both kinda like...
So now, I'm officially off my ambulance until after I deliver. No more heavy lifting for me. While I hate being away from my hubby since we are permanent partners, we're trying to do our best to get used to it. Now I'll be in the dispatch office on Saturdays from 9-5 doing call taking. I don't mind too much but it's a little overwhelming at first. But the good thing is I have access to the internet and I can actually try to update on Saturdays now! :-O Oh the shock!
So while not much has been out of the norm the biggest newest thing for me is that I have this little life growing inside me... it feels kinda weird and yet, I don't feel too different than when I wasn't pregnant. It sure wreeks havoc with the work schedule though! LOL Eh, I'll get used to all of it just in time for it to change again. Such is life :)
Well, I don't really know what else to write at the moment so I'll sign off and let you all absorb what I've just shared with you... Prue is gonna be a mommy! What a trip!!!! :)
