I broke a promise, but he still Loves me
Well, I'd promised Gene long ago I'd keep my long hair till after the wedding... that's only another 43 days... but I couldn't do it... I broke my promise...
Two years ago I'd chopped my hair for Locks of Love and I cut it short... short enough to the point some of my guy friends teased me about looking like a dike/lesbian... anyway, I enjoyed doing it cuz 13+ inches of my hair went to a good cause.
So now, here I am just over 2 years later and about to be married in 43 days and promising Gene that I'd leave it long... but I just couldn't take it anymore... it's getting too hot and too thick... I pull it at night when I'm tossing/turning... it'll get caught under his shoulder and will get pulled when I move... I've just had enough...
I went back to the Locks of Love site and found another Salon in my area that not only did the cut for free, but also styled it for free :) And on my budget right now, that helped alot.
This time around only about 11+ inches got cut, but I got it styled in a cute little bob where it's really short in the back and longer towards the front... near my face it hangs to just about the tip of my nose. I like it... Gene likes it (though it will take some getting used to for both of us)... and my mom even liked it though it was a bit different than she thought I was going to do.
Over all, I broke one of the very first promises I'd made to Gene, but it was with his blessing. He even went with me and held my ponytail one last time after it had been cut off. I think I may have even seen one little tear... LOL Just teasing.
Well, we've gotta get out to his parents house for various reasons. Now my biggest task is figuring out how I'm gonna wear my veil now... I think I know but we'll see...
