Taking a quick break from finals to update. I've been writing this dreaded paper all day, and I'm just a page away from my quota for the evening. That's exciting. Not too much has been going on here. Just finishing things up as the semester ends, ahh to think...no Economics EVER again. Sheer joy!
Last night was Christmas here at the Wag...it really warms your heart to sit by the refrige-a-tree, watching your nut-allergic friend unwrap a tub of almonds. Oh my, it seemed like a funny idea, right? Anyways, everyone's gifts were perfect and it was a great distraction from all the tests and papers. Then we saw Closer...the director, Mike Nichols also directed Angels in America (which was beautiful) but this...well, this movie was really disturbing. I'm still not sure what the point of it was, except that maybe we're all masochists, we do things in love that we know will hurt us and others because we can. And then we move on to other people and places to continue the process. Okay, well that's probably not the meaning of the movie but I was really searching for a point, other than sexually disturbing scenes regarding...well, I just won't get into that.
Anyways, I have literally worked on math and my paper all day and I'm so bored. Everyone has this uneasy feeling about them right now. It's so close to the end to really care, but you know that you still should. In one week I'll be home, and there I will stay until January 18th. I'm actually really sad about that. Granted, it's nice to go home and the break from school work is REALLY nice, but I'm going to miss my friends and the city and everything. A month in Nebraska, I really can't picture it. What am I going to do for a whole summer??? I'm totally going to miss running through Time Square intoxicated and debating movies and going shopping and paying too much money for dinner and talking about Broadway actors as if we know them and Jamba...okay, in other words I'm going to miss Ben, Steve, Audie, and Jared.
wow, that's really sad....back to the paper (which is even more tragic!)
