In preparing for this spring's conducting appearances, I made a trip to the
CMC yesterday to buy a copy of Marjan Mozetich's violin concerto, "Affairs of the Heart", which I had specifically asked to conduct in Symphony Hamilton's
May concert, in which it was decided I would conduct both concerto competition winners. This was actually my first trip to the CMC, and it looks like a place I should endeavour to visit more frequently. I had already known about their very liberal music loan program (no membership required!) but it seems like the kind of place I could spend a lot of time and money.
P.S. After spending $30 on that score, I was checking the SH website and noticed that the listing for that concert had changed and the Mozetich was no longer included. Potential fail.
