Bits and pieces

10-12 April, 2010

I've missed the last two days of posting. Sunday morning was very productive but I neglected to write anything. Sunday evening I came down with a monster toothache. I had to leave rehearsal early and I was in bed within a few minutes of getting home. This morning was similarly productive and similarly lacking an entry, and I only just got home from the Jays home opener. Let me start with that - ladies and gentlemen, we have the makings of a team here. Once Jason Frasor stops crapping on our offense's efforts, that is. (100)

Next let me deal with the toothache. I know what you're going to say: "Have you been to the dentist recently? Have you had your wisdom teeth out yet?" The answer is no. I'm not a big fan of dentists and doctors and haven't seen either one in years. The last time I went, they said because I've had enough adult teeth out, the wisdom teeth should grow in fine, and to expect some pain as the other teeth shifted around. Well pain I got - and more of it (for once) than I could deal with on my own. (200)

Finally, let me share my feelings on painkillers. The only time in my adult life before Sunday night I've taken a painkiller was on the plane ride back from India when I was there last and running a fever of 103F: my mom suggested it and I agreed that travelling like that wouldn't be fun and that I should sleep. Sunday night I purchased Advil for the first time ever, for the same reason. I have rarely had to deal with anything that I didn't think my body and natural medicines couldn't handle. Rest assured I'm not happy about it. (300)
