*blows the dust off*
Well hello there
I know that it has been a while, and I doubt a lot of you even still check this journal, but I am alive and well. Lets see, what is happening.
Still looking for work, have had a few interviews but nothing panned out there yet. Kind of a bummer but I will keep on slogging through and hopefully something will turn up soon. There was about a solid month of helping people move there a little while ago, it seemed like I was forever drafted into helping because I had a big truck. The curse of the SUV I guess.. well that and a 117l tank (gas bills = OUCH) Attended Furnal Equinox and got to see a lot of old friends and make a few new ones. It appears that my Klondike pinball machine was a pretty big hit this year, made it worth trucking it up to the con. Before next year I am goign to have to fully service the machine, it was not in tip-top shape but that can be easily fixed.
I have started down the path of Bariatric surgery at a clinic in Toronto. So for the past 2 months there have been trips to Toronto for appointments, and I have 1 more coming up with the internal mecidine guy, before I get a final surgery date. As a result of entering the program I have learned a lot and this is the path I need to head down to get healthy. With a family history of cancer, heart disease, and diabetes I am at risk if I don't do something to change. This is the line I have drawn for myself, and I need to get healthier. So far just from cutting out soda completely and fruit juice (both just sugar and empty calories) I have lost more then 35lbs in a bit over a month. I am also trying to get outside more and eat smaller portions to help get it all under control.
So when you see me at a con next year, I will be half the bear you knew me as.
Other then that not much going on with me. I am going to have to start posting here again, I look at LJ every day, so I should be here more often. I think that I will start posting to FA as well, but if you are looking for up to the minute stuff checking my Twitter feed is probably the best way to see what craziness I am up to. http://twitter.com/prplhaze
