purple_bug asked me about demon diary, doujinshi, morbid realities, sublunary, the crow and weiss kreuz.
Demon Diary: is a shounen-ai manga about a newly appointed Demon Lord called Raenef, who's adorable and naive and completely out of his depth (you can see a picture of him here with a baby dragon) and his guardian/instructer Eclipse, who's serious and pretty much the complete opposite of Raenef. You can see them being cute together here ^^ I only have the first volume, had a look at the others while I've been waiting for people in Borders. My god I haven't bought anything new in ages... But yes, it's lotsa fun, even if you never do get to see them actually get it together.
Doujinshi: fan-comics and short original manga. Wat's not to love? Everything that doesn't happen in canon but should like the porn can happen in doujinshi. The art is usually fantabulous and it's cool to see different artists way of doing characters you love. The original shorts are usually well done too, but it can be a pain finding translated ones.
Morbid realities: I pretty sure I'm not taking morbid realities the way it's meant to be taken (stole this off of someone elses interest list), but I like morbid alternate realities, you know, what would happen if x exsisted or if y happened or z never happened and world was even less nice and shiny than it is now. I like post-apocolyptic worlds, don't-go-out-after-dark worlds, worlds that are just generally fucked, be it because of people, monsters, viruses, whatever. I love seeing humanity at their worst or dealing with terrible situations. In fiction or imagination only of course.
Sublunary: is a webcomic about a post-apocolyptic world :p The sun got blocked out and things either evolved or died. Humans live in bubbled off sections of the planet and there's been a break out of a deadly virus. It's about two teams (that I can't remember the name of because Sublunary retired over a year ago), one trying to save a scientist who has the cure for the virus and the other trying to stop them because the government would use the cure to be bastards. Why do I like it? Because the art was good, the characters likable, the updates regular and amongst everything there is a lot of gay sex.
The Crow: a movie starring the late Brandon Lee (son of Bruce Lee) about a man who was horribly murdered along with his wife (who was brutally raped into te bargain). He's brought back in order to be all vengeful and wear dramatic make-up. And leather trousers. It's a really good movie that reminds me of when I was younger and of when my friendship with dreamdweller was still fairly new. Meaning I still had a certain amount of innocence and decency left in me :p
Weiss Kreuz: a yaoi anime. It's about four guys who make up the group Weiss, florists by day and assasins by night :p They kill bad guys and take on the group of baddies, Schwarz, who are hotter and have phsycic abilities. There is a lot of sex going on throught out the entire thing, Aya of Weiss regularly gets it on with his slutty team mate Yohji and often gets violated with his own sword by Schuldig (telepath) or Schwarz. Schuldig has hate-sex and fight-for-dominance sex with Brad, oracle and leader of Schwarz. Ken and Omi of Weiss have lots of very sweet sex and are in a loving relationship. Of course this is just what the very yaoi orientated fanbase says. I know it's ridiculous. Everyone knows Ken doesn't get any from anyone, for he is the strapleberryless one.
But yes, why do I like it? It's a good question, the animation and voice acting is hilariously bad at times, there are plot holes the size of small moons and if you ask me now I can't even remember what the plot even was. It all just adds to the charm that is Weiss Kreuz. That and it has a really great fanbase that does really good fanworks.
