Cabinfest summary
So, Cabinfest 2006, yeah? FUCK YEAH!
Man, this year was brilliant. The slightly elaborated summary goes thus:
- Hans the Lazy Alcoholic Bunny, cabinfest mascot
- Larry the Coffee Frog, who ended up in just about every one of James' drinks drink except coffee.
- Horse riding! Thank you Snowy, Goldbar, Keeto, Pooka, Isobar, Blueber, Domino and... the last horse I can't remember the name of. Goucho.
- Drunkeness in the games room, dancing, singing, spanking and broken paddles.
- Murder in Wonderland - who did kill Lewis Caroll? The Oyster Mother and Tweedle Dee of course! Was kick ass.
- Dodgilly made cakes and substitution of ingredients in food.
- Bagels with cream cheese and bacon
- Poker, Texas Hold 'em specifically
- The open fire
- The local pub in Ardfern. Did anyone actually catch the name?
- Cocktail Night which went from making legitimate cocktails to just making our own. We made some damn fine ones including Saharan Beauties, Pondwater and Wonderlands.
- Actually went to Scaaaaaaaaaammadaaaaale!
- Extreme Pong in the shiny new games room. Three rules, serve on the table, don't let it stop bouncing, don't let the net get in your way. Anything else goes.
- The candlelit meal of the last night.
- Freezing cold showers in the games room.
- The journey home, sfokm following R300 WCM for over an hour.
But it doesn't end there my friends, oh no. Closure is needed for Cabinfest, so we went to see Pirates of the Caribbean 2 dressed as pirates! ...of course since we were left on a cliff hanger that means we need closure for our closure and as such won't get closure for Cabinfest 2006 until just before or after Cabinfest 2007.
Damn you cliffhangers!!!
However, Captian Jack Sparrow/Johnny Depp rocked the screen as always. I'm glad we're seeing something a little beyond him being an adorable and sarcastic bunny. He is actually a selfish bastard in it mostly for himself with the occassional good streak. And scars. I want to see the scene with Jack being branded with his P. Mmmmmm....
On the subject of hot scenes, Will being whipped? Yum. The only time he will ever be hot on his own.
I'm all over Jack/Elizabeth/Will like a limpet. They just work so well together! See the entire bit with Elizabeth telling Jack how Will taught her how to handle a sword and Jack being all "I know exactly how well he can handle a sword."
Davey Jones was done really well, I thought, and also makes for canon tentacle-sexxin'.
