Dear heaven.
I need to read it all again, slower, because it's written in a key I never learned, and it says things I didn't know. (The answer to solipsism: my mind couldn't have dreamed this up, so it must have been someone else.)
But just for now: amazing work, still full of thoughts I haven't unpacked, but the feeling is awe.

Thank you my dear! I must admit, it said things I didn't know either, which gave me a hell of a time in the third drafts (b/c then I had to go back and foreshadow completely different epiphanies and endings.)
This was fabulous and beautiful and everything I ever needed in a college AU but never realized that I wanted. Thank you for writing this wonderful fic. Thank you for taking the time to craft two tales that I found myself deeply engrossed in until 4:30am, when - if I were a much wiser, much more patient person - I should have been asleep. I cared about what happened to Chuck just as much as I cared for Dean, Sam, and Cas.
I am SO GLAD that you were concerned for Chuck! There was a risk that, as a framing narrator, his own story would be lost under the angst of the boys.
As to being a wiser person, they say that a wiseman is just a fool who knows when to make mistakes...well no, they don't say that. I just made it up. (Personally, I think it's more fun to be the fool anyway.)
Thank you so much for reading and taking the time to comment.
What a sad, sweet, lovely ride. I love the way you think, the way you've reimagined these boys/men and the beautiful puzzle you've made of their brokenness. So smart and wry and raw -- tihs is a story I won't forget soon, and that I will be re-reading. Multiple times.
Thank you so much! And thank you for reading and commenting throughout. I am never more flattered than when someone tells me the story is worth a second read. :)
Oh wow. That was so powerful. Chuck gripped my heart and I was reading the story not only for the ride, hoping for a good ending for Dean, Sam and Cas, but because I knew it when his attempt failed it would hurt him.
Just. wow.
Thank you for sharing. I'm going to sleep on it - this feels like it'll stick with me.
