Week 2
Prompt 5. Logic
Prompt 6. Dance

Prowl looked throughout the training room but didn't find anything to explain where he was or how he had gotten there. Despite that, he was not agitated in the least, allowing logic to rule his thoughts. He was curious and wondered at his current circumstances while filled with a deep sense of peace.

"Prowl," a soft voice spoke from behind him, some distance away. "It is good to see you again."

The black and gold ninja turned and bowed low as the other mech approached. "Master Yoketron," he responded in greeting. He waited until his master straightened from his own bow, then looked with curiosity at the figure before him but remained silent.

"I see you have learned patience, my student," the master said after a lengthy silence. "You may speak."

Surprisingly, Prowl's first words were not to ask where he was. Instead he asked, "Am I here to complete my training, Master Yoketron?"

The Cyberninja master smiled slightly, understanding the confusion of the mech standing before him. "No, Prowl," he answered slowly, "you have completed your training." He then waited for his student to figure out for himself what had happened.

Prowl's visor dimmed in thought. It flickered after a few moments and he quietly spoke a few disjointed words as he remembered, "City…Decepticons…All-Spark…Sacrifice…Jazz." He felt a stir of emotion when he spoke the last word.

Satisfied that his student had an idea of what had occurred, he indicated for Prowl to sit. Together they took relaxed meditation positions facing one another before he spoke again. "I am proud of you, Prowl. You sacrificed your own spark to save others and you did so without hesitation. You are now a true Cyberninja."

The visored mech remained quiet, thinking carefully about what he heard, knowing there was no rush to get answers. Finally, he looked around and said, "This is the Well of Sparks."

"Indeed it is, Prowl," Yoketron answered. "This is a place of perfect peace."

"What do we do here?" Prowl asked. "Isn't perfect peace rather boring?" his logical thoughts discounting emotion for the present time.

For the first time ever, Prowl heard his master laugh. "No, Prowl," he chuckled, shaking his helm. "The Well of Sparks is the most exciting place to be. Shall we start by introducing you to Primus?" He stood up, preparing to lead the way.

The still-seated mech paused before slowly yet gracefully rising to his pedes. "Master Yoketron," he began hesitantly, "what about Jazz?"

The Cyberninja master turned and faced his former student. "From our perspective, he will be here soon enough."

Prowl didn't miss the way the statement was phrased. "And what about from Jazz's perspective?"

The smile fell from Master Yoketron's faceplates. "Prowl, from Jazz's perspective he will have to wait a lifetime to see you again."

Jazz grinned as he watched the happy couple share their first kiss after the Magnus completed the official bonding ceremony. The reception would run well into the night, long after Ratchet and Arcee slipped away to their room. It would be a good time to catch up with old friends and remember those long gone. Jazz did exactly that having come to terms long ago that Prowl's deactivation allowed him to live.

Several joors into the party, Jazz watched as Ratchet and Arcee prepared to depart. It had taken deca-vorns for the medic to carefully rebuild the femme's processor and then several more vorns to court her the way he believed she deserved. As he sipped at his high grade he sensed a presence beside him. "Hey, OM," he said without looking over. "Nice ceremony ya did earlier."

"Thank you, Jazz Prime," Optimus Magnus said politely. "I don't think I'll ever get used to being Magnus, but I have to admit, being able to preside over bonding ceremonies is fun."

Jazz smiled. "Ah told ya before, call meh JP. Jazz Prime just don't sound right."

"Optimus Magnus doesn't sound right either," the blue and red mech rumbled good-naturedly.

They fell into a comfortable silence until the happy couple greeted them and they shared laughs and memories. Jazz even smiled when Optimus and Ratchet spoke of Prowl. Eventually Jazz patted Ratchet on the arm. "Git outta here, ya old mech. Neither of ya are gettin' any younger." With a snarl at Jazz which quickly turned into a playful growl at Arcee, the couple left unnoticed by most of the others while Jazz and Optimus continued to talk quietly.

"Jazz," the larger mech began, ignoring titles altogether. "You are a social mech. You organize the best parties, and by the way, this one is fabulous. In all the time I've known you, I've never seen you date anyone."

The Elite Guardmech smiled. "Guess Ah just never found anyone."

Optimus nodded but said, "You were known as quite the berth-hopper before you arrived on Earth." He paused then went straight to the point, "Prowl sacrificed himself so the rest of us could live. Including you."

Jazz never dropped the smile and to anyone looking in their direction it appeared the Magnus and the Prime were engaged in light conversation. "From tha moment Ah first set optics on Prowl, Ah knew he was tha only one Ah ever wanted from that point on. Ah was gonna ask him ta allow meh ta court him but then…" he trailed off and shrugged. "Never got tha chance."

"He would have wanted you to be happy," Optimus pointed out.

"Hey, Ah am happy. Ah got mah friends, mah music, and bein' able ta serve under tha best Magnus ever," Jazz said winking his visor. He went somber for a moment. Ah'll be happy when Ah meet him again in tha Well." He then smiled again nodding at some mechs across the room.

"You may have a long wait," Optimus cautioned.

"Ah know, but Prowl is worth tha wait. In tha meantime, how 'bout a dance? All tha other Primes are too scared ta ask ya."
