“Your majesty! We must do something about the dragon!”

The black and white monarch scowled as he examined the contents of the data pad before him, ignoring the clamor of his advisors. They were correct, of course. Something had to be done about the three headed dragon that had set up its nest above the mountain pass, their busiest trade route, making sport of the merchants.

He finally looked up. “Put out a call to all the knights of the land. It is time we rid ourselves of this accursed beast.”

The black and white knight hummed as he walked along. He had been a knight of the realm for a couple of years now, but had taken some time to go out adventuring, as the crown had no immediate need for its knights. But a call had gone out to all knights to return to the capital, and dutifully he had begun his journey home.

It surprised him but there seemed to be little traffic between his home and their neighbor. Normally at this time of year the road was thick with caravans, but he had seen nary a soul for close to three days. It was odd, but he enjoyed the solitudd, feeling the sun on his back, and seeing the beginnings of turning of the leaves.

Which is why he was quite surprised when a dark cloud engulfed him, blotting out the sun. He barely had time to turn, sword drawn, when the dragon dropped from the sky, knocking him from his feet, and pinning his lower body to the ground.

One of the heads let out a grating laugh, as the middle smirked. “Well what do we have here? A little knight all on his lonesome,” it hissed. The third remained impassive, staring intently at the prone knight.

Dazed, the knight did the only thing he could think of. He smiled. “I'm guessing you're the reason all the knights are being called home then?”

The dragon's middle head pause, obviously taken aback by being questioned by its prey. The laughing one let out a snicker. “He's got you there mighty Megatron!”

Both of the other heads turned to look at the snickering head. “Shut up Starscream!” 'Megatron' roared, as he unthinkingly lifted the claw pinning the knight to hit the second head. Only the third noticed the knight rolling to his feet, and collecting his sword. “Lord Megatron,” it intoned.

“What Soundwave?” The head snapped, intent on mauling the third. It turned out to be the last words it ever spoke. Having recovered himself, the knight quickly dispatched the dragon, starting with the middle head.

Once convinced it was dead, the black and white removed a talon, subspaced it, and continued on his way.

The capital had been bustling when he arrived several days later. All knights quickly making their way to the castle. Shrugging the black and white knight joined the flow. They were quickly shown to a great hall, and told the king would be with them shortly. A few moments passed, and the knights shifted uneasily. They were not used to standing around. The black and white stood out of the way, observing his peers.

The room quieted as the king entered, flanked by his two offspring, the fair Sunstreaker and the charming Sideswipe. “You have all been called here for a specific task,” the king began, his clear voice carrying without a need to shout. The knight turned his attentions there, greatly appreciating the view of the other black and white. “As you know the mountain pass has been besieged by a dragon. It has become vital that we remove the accursed beast as fast as possible.” The volume begins to rise and the king holds up his hands for silence.

“Actually it wont be a problem anymore.”

Everyone gathered turns to look at the black and white knight leaning casually against the wall.

“Excuse me?”

Instead of answering, the knight reaches into his subspace and removes the prize he had taken earlier that week. With a shrug he sauntered over and bowed, presenting the talon to his king. The princess gasped, and the crowd was silent. The king gave the kneeling mech an appraising glance. “What is your name Sir Knight?”

“It matters not my King, for I am merely a knight of your Realm.”

Modest as well as competent. A refreshing change. The king looked at the assembled knights. “To night we feast! In celebration of the death of the accursed dragon and in honor of this brae knight who has rid us of the menace!.” A cheer rose up. The king looked back at the still bowed knight. “Walk with me Sir Knight.”

“As you with my liege.” Gracefully he rose to his feet and took a place by the king's side, the princess moving to flank their father. Together they moved to the great hall to begin the celebration.

The banquet was in full swing. The knight seated next to Prowl; his daughters on the other. They had proceed to flirt with the knight for duration of the celebration thus far. But alas it was almost time for the celebrants to retreat to their beds, and the king had not found a suitable reward for the knight. He had turned to the other black and white, finally deciding on a reward that no mech would refuse. “Since you will not be rewarded through material means, instead let my daughters reward you. Both are at your disposal this night. Please take your leisure with either of them.” The princesses smiled and before the knight could respond the king rose to his feet to dismiss the banquet.

The room had emptied, taking the black and white knight with it. Prowl got to his feet, intent on returning to his rooms for the evening. He sighed. Would the nameless knight take his night with the beautiful Sunstreaker? Or would he choose the playful and charming Sideswipe? He was so lost in his thoughts he almost missed the mech hidden in the shadows. The knight stood staring out into the garden.

“Is something the matter Sir Knight?”

The mech turned to face him, visor twinkling in the starlight. “No my lord.” He easily moved into a bow.

“Are you sure Sir Knight? Are my daughters not to your liking?”

In a lesser trained mech, the movement could have been called a flinch; in this mech it was more a kin to a shiver. “Your daughters are... marvels, my lord.”

Prowl frowned.

“But I must admit there is another whom captured my attention. I would not dishonor them by thinking of another in their beds.”

“Who might that be Sir Knight? I'm sure any and all would be honored to be of services to such a mech as yourself.”

The knight looked trouble. “I would not have him in my bed for duty.” He looked away, mumbling.

“What did you say Sir Knight?”

“Nothing my lord.”

Prowl just crossed his arms.

“He's above me anyways.” There was a moment of silence. The king barely caught the next words of the knight, as he almost breathed them, turning away. “As in he is my king.”

The black and white noble reached out and drew the knight back around to face him. “What is your name Sir Knight?”

“I told you my liege it is not important.”

“I disagree.” A wicked smile crossed the king's face. “I wish to know the one who's name I am going to be making scream in pleasure.”

Sideswipe stormed into the breakfast hall. She had spent the last night alone, and cold for having removed her armor from her upper body. It burned her to know that the handsome knight had chosen her twin over her. As she slammed open the door she heard her sister say “What does Sideswipe have that I don't! Why did the knight spend it with her! I even removed my lower armor!”

Sideswipe froze midstride. “He didn't spend the night with me Sunstreaker.”

“Well he wasn't with me! And he didn't leave. I checked with the guard first.”

Dazed the red twin took a seat next to her twin. “Well if he wasn't with you and wasn't with me...”

“Then who was he with?” Sunstreaker finished.

Just then the door opened again, and Prowl walked in. Holding the hand of the very topic of conversation.

The king cleared his throat. “My daughters, this is Sir Jazz. And you are going to be seeing him a lot more often from now on.”

The princesses looked at each other, and promptly fainted.

Jazz smirked leaning into Prowl. “Wasn't quite expecting that reaction. But then again, they did just find out they'd been checkin' out their father's lover.”

Prowl growled in his audio. “Lover? I like the sound of that.” And promptly dragged Jazz back to his chambers.

And they lived happily ever after.

For this is a fairy story.

AN: The lyrics to the song can be found Here. That should be all the explanation anyone needs. And why the twins? Cause I could.
