Room #406 - Morning

Sep 23, 2009 17:23

Beka shouldn't have woken up that early. She'd no classes, there was no reason to already be awake. Except for the whiskers that were tickling her cheek.

"Geroff, Pounce," she mumbled, pushing the cat away. She should know better by now. Cats never listened. Certainly not this one.

You should wake up, Pounce told her with a purr. No, not a purr. He sounded smug. Smug cats first in the morning were bad news.

"Dun think so," she rolled to her side. Ignoring might work. Mayhap?

She felt Pounce jump over her and soon the whiskers were tickling her ear. You really want to be awake for this.

"For what?" She rolled to her back and rubbed a hand across her face. Pounce moved down her bed and she glared down at him. He looked way too smug. "What's so funny?"

Sommat was off, not just about the way Pounce was looking at her. It's not funny, it's hilarious. The pox-rotted cat was laughing at her and she'd no reply as she'd found out what was funny.

"Oh no. Nononono. Not happening," she moved to the bathroom and stared in the mirror. She didn't know that face, only the eyes. Her eyes were still the same ghost eyes she always had. The rest? Looked decidedly more like a cove than she'd remembered.
